As for your question i am in a position to answer. Honestly my thoughts are they are a good team with some quality players and there record in the league this year and back end of last year speaks for itself. They even won the league cup. They have a bunch of players that played at county level and have improved the squad loads.

Having said that we played em near enough the beginning of the season and had a great game against them. Played them off the park first half and if it wasnt for two defensive mistakes first half we would have had a nice healthy lead. We were 4-2 up with about 20 mins to go in the second and the game was just turned on its head.

They have a very opinionated and loud side line at home games and the ref that day was a new lad and very timid. He had delt ok with the game and even sent one of our lads of for raising his hands which didnt help us. He failed to show the same judgement when one of there lads raised his hands at me and i was even booked for what was a clumsy challange.

Anyways as we had lost a man and the ref was still getting agro were put under pressure and they turned the screw. The ref then gave them two pens that were hardly pens including a challenge outside the pen box and when a foul was commited on our defender he let it go and they scored. They ended up winning the game 5-4 luckily.

Long and short of it mate is that day they were average but after seeing some of there results and the fact they have only conceded 7 goals (4 of which we scored) they are gonna be tough to beat. My advice if your playing em is get among em nice and early and dont let them play. They have some mouthy lads who wont think twice about going through ya but i do think they will come unstuck at some point but with the lead they will have by that point it will be academic i am sure

They must be rubbish cos they play in the 2nd division

i play for the mighty smawthorne by the way, jusk asking sbout stanley arms cos weve still got them 3 times this season, (weve drawn them in the cup) we could do with taking all 6 points to narrow the gap,it'l make up for out dodgy start to the season

Well put it this wat fella if you play like you did us first half you wont have a chance in hell But play anthing like you did in the secind half ans you have about an extra 5% chance. And i wouldnt count Stanley United out of it either, I play for there sunday side and know some of the lads they have turning out for em and they will do well in that league.

went to watch stanley the other saturday againset fleece, thay are a good team ut very very beatable, thaey have two good strikers one of them looks like george best the other skillful as fuck, there left winger is a decent lad full of pace and not scared to takeyou on.

As for the midfield well from the game that i watched they were ordinary, they will have to improve they just wernt good enough on the day.

Defence was not bad, one player holding everything there left and right back were the weakest link and there goal keeper wasnt bad but dropped a lot, apart from that talking to big carl that day he said they missed a couple of players, they won the game 6or 7, 1 and looked the better team im sure they fully deserve there top of the league posistion, but smawthorne can play football, they have shown that by getting to the league cup final, county cup last 32 ,open cup semi final beating some top teams along the way, looking forward to it stanley, it wont b a push over thou
