afc cross keys 3 v smawthorne 5

what can i say, cross keys had 3 chances all match that was in the first half an hour, of course they scored them all leading 3 nil at half time, smawthorne were doomed but we rallyed and proper destroyed the keys second half, never seen a team lie down from a 3-0 lead just gos to show what the smawthornew massive can do when they turn on the style. Stanley Arms you are next, lets see how good you really are

Well let me set a few records straight ere. We the keys were in my opinion lucky to be 3 goals up but the goals were quality especially the goal from Matty H who ran all the way through the smawthorme midfield and defense to blast the ball home. And what can be said about Tuppers goal when the ball fell to him for him to take ages to decided where to shoot. And our third was just pure quality that came from a collective effort and ended with a low drive into the bottom corner.

We should have made the game safe in the first half and always knew that they were gonna come out battling to try prevent us from getting any more and thats what they did. They grabbed a goal from a low driven corner and that snuck in the far post and it was game on. Some changes were made which ultimately was our downfall and we seem to lose the midfield and with there two centre midfielders running the show it was only a matter of time before they scored another. More changes were made including taking our lad up front off due to injury but we replaced him with a lad half his size so he struggled to hold the ball up that half which resulted in us at the back being bombarded. In all honesty based on that second half performance we deserved to be beaten but we kept fighting to the death and was lucky there wasnt even more goals scored. Some great last ditch tackles were made werent they andy Cant believe you didnt get on the score sheet but then yes i can cause i was defending

I would also like to not that we were missing some keys players from the squad including our joint leading goal scorer who was banned for the game. We missed his energy up front and ball holding abilities which contributed to our downfall

In summary i have to say that the game was played in good spirits and went by with no notable incidents and that was not expected by either two teams or the ref.

Good luck rest of the season and i look forward to beating you in your own back yard.

Andy i cannot believe you thought that tackle on me was good, u tackled me from behind and it was a blatent penalty, im sure the ref didnt want to give it because of what happned the week before, but no arguments still you were missing your striker, well smawthorne are no way near there best yet, it's comin thou, its a good job our striker from last year has packed in hed of run rings round your back 4, and them 18 or so chances i had he would of converted, but we won, a good 3 points and yes cant wait for you to come to our back yard

P.S will someone start beatin stanley arms you will be doing us a favour

To be fair andy i thought i had caught ya too but i was refferring to the last ditch sliding block when you thought you was gonna score. God knows how i made up the ground there but i did just.

That makes two of us mate. I am useless upfront too but you cant take any chances can ya. Besides it looked good and will hopefully mean i keep mys hirt as i have struggled to do hat this season so far.

No never found it mate. I am gonna make sure the subs who stand around and cant be arsed looking pay for the next one.
