We haven't played well in both games against you......however look at it this way.......we've played poor but still had enough to beat you and we haven't conceded......what does that say?

i think it says it's the sign of a good team......a team that plays poorly but still grinds out the victory.

Anyway, get your ass in gear and make a challenge for promotion next season.......how long have you been in division 2 now??

I couldnt agree more kev. That jimmy cranky lookalike is the gaffer who was injured and wasnt even supposed to play. Thats one of the reasons we didnt score against you although at certain points we came pretty close. We haven't played you with our strongest side either. We had people missing at your place and as you know we messed about with the team on saturday.

Same with dodworth, We were missing 4 or 5 at their place and sama again at home due to a wedding.

Am not saying that the outcomes of any of the games would have been different but it we dont have the strength in depth that you obviously have at the thorpe. Plus we struggle to field the same side week to week.

We are looking towards trying for promotion next season as we say every year but we have to start winning the games that matter as well as the ones we expect too. Losing twice against shakey, dodworth and you cost us any chance we had of doing anything this year.

Here's to next season. Good luck both dodworth and thorpe. Can see div being a good battle again.

hi willy its kenny from afc wakefield yeh we have some young lads and we have done well this season if we keep it together we could be a really good team but like you know it all comes with experience. not sure if i will be there though to experience it 37 this year legs getting tired although i still have one over on you when we won you in league cup final i was with grey horse sports then you was with st miks 3-1 i remember good game !!!

Thought it might be......nice one Kenny lad.....good to hear from you.  Only time I see you is when you are half gone in either Sally's or Havana......and at 37 you make me feel young.......good lad!!

I remember the Grey Horse/St Mick's final.......cocky weren't we?  We went into that final thinking we could just stroll around.....how wrong we were and fair play you deserved it on the day......care to say what happened only 5 days later at your ground....???      Didn't a certain team get hammered 8-0 and we clinched the league that night!!!!!!         I never ran as much in that game.....so bloody wound up from the cup final!!

Don't know how many teams go up from our division this year, so your home game v Dodworth on 1st May will be a cracker.....winner takes all for runners up spot!!!!  Think ALL the Thorpe lads will be in attendance that night........hope you can cope with the 'BANTER' and the 'rays' from the sunbed - that'll be Dodworth's gaffer!!

yeh 8-0 missed that one mate thank god!!!!!!!!!!! you deserved it that season really!!! dodworth game will be good game i predict though i have been told only two teams are going up this season so looks like there is more to play for! as for the banta well i have heard it for the past twenty or so years so used to it !!! hey willy did you play for alverthorpe when thay played the team i was playing for at that time WESTGATE COMMON and the game got abandoned cause one of alverthorpe players got sent off and they rioted and gave referee a hard time it was soooo funny referee was bloody crying and had to be consoled by his mother who was stood on the touchline !!!!!!!!!!!

No mate......I was still playing for St Mick's but I did hear about it........think you might need to ask Fish Butty Starter about that............           I'm sure he could go thru every little detail.......word for word........

With only two teams going up in Division 2, the Dodworth game will be a belter!!  Looking forward to it!!  Do you know where you'll be playing it?
