How you got promoted this season i will never know lol
Nah only kidding well done Andy.
We drew AGAIN with Stanley Utd. Thats 4 draws in last 5 games against Stanley Utd x2 Stanley Arms and smawthorne. We also came back from losing in all of these games too which shows the mentality we have had in this later stage of the season. Shame we didnt turn them into wins though because that table (when its finally updated) would look a lot different to what it does now.

cherry tree 1 stanley arms 6 was told cherry tree played 8 first team players due to no game in premier league and were given a football lesson. fair on the lads that turn out every week for there reserves. congratulations to stanley who were presented with league trophy before the game a joy to watch this season.

Shame not all there players could be bothered to turn up to recieve the trophy though isnt it. I heard they were short on the day. And when we played them and drew they didnt even have any subs. I even recall one of their lads telling me he hoped we would beat them because it would give the missing lads a shock and they might then turn up for later part of the season
But i have to say well done to the arms. Having played against them for last two years i have seen the transformation. They look like a quality side and i hear they have even more players coming down next season. I cant see div 1 being much of a challenge either.

i heard they only had 10 men every one seems to struggle to get a side at this stage of the season. i think div 1 will be a good league next season smawthorne going up as well i think they are a very good side could maybe do with a few more players for next season but congratulations to them as well .

Aye we have had the same problems too. Been lucky to have been able to make a few additions late on to help us out or we would have been screwed. Having lost and drawn with smawthorne i can say they are a good side. They deffo need more players though, they seem to have been lucky to be able to field the same side most weeks which is pretty rare at this level which i am sure has benefited them and ultimately led to their promotion.

That bloke you refer to is actually a mate of mine, known him since i was 5 or so. I know what you mean and its been noted but its never all one way mate. His problem is he loves taking players on and when he does go past defenders all they do is kick him so i can see it from both sides. As for stanley arms they have no room to talk mate. Karl gives as good as he gets most of the time. I just think most defenders in this league dont like a striker to be right in their faces which is how shawn plays. He does have a anger problem with refs and believe me we have tried sorting that out but still to no avail.
We are signing kev (the blonde haired lad) from westgate next season. And with the recent signing of one of my work mates who has scored 6 in 6 games since joining from nostel competition for places up front will be tough.
