anyone involved yesterday fancy putting a bit of a match report from the charity games on here?

unfortunately i couldnt make it so missed out.

who played? who scored? who made a complete arse of themselves?
did anyone manage to hit the cross bar?

that kind of thing.......

Over 35s1-1 Refs (refs won 8-5 (Ithink) on pens)

A very competitive match tbh, game played in good sprirts, suprised at how good the refs was tbh. I opened the scoring for the over35s thanks to a great ball from Dicky smith, I rounded Mickeyled to score in the empty net. The refs battled back and scored through Mo I think. Good game, good banter. Micleyled made some great penalty saves but was no where near mine should I add.

No-one hit the bar, cos the rain came down so we dint bother doing the cross bar challenge. All the signed stuff going on ebay too. Shame the matches clashed with Leeds Utd and Wakey Trin matches or am sure there would have been more there to watch.

Was in the bar for the other game, but again it was 1-1, and went to pens. Must add the Div 1&2 team had about 7defenders in there team, and Dicky smith backing up from playin in the first match.

Mickeyled brought replicas of the FA cup and World cup and also got dressed up in a fancy dress suit as well.

Another closely fought encounter...

Thought Div 1 & 2 had the upperhand for the 1st 70mins in a game of few clear chances. Thought Div 1 & 2 had majority of the possession but failed to test the dodgy looking Hirsty in goal. Bennett wasting the clearest opportunities the greedy cant!

Start of the second half carried on in pretty much similar fashion with a few clearer chances being created, the first a ball across the box from ginner which just needed a touch but the striker spent to long trimming his toe nails the girl that he failed to get a toe nail onto it....

As the game wore on, tiredness came into play, the game opened up! And the inevitable first goal appeared...

Charlie (Backer the grumpy sod was it??), dwindled on the ball while ginner held his run for about 2 mins, until Charlie played in the ball behind the defence, Ginner used his powerful ass muscles to out pace the defence and bum them off ran onto goal and slot it past the stationary Hirsty (Saving himself for this mornings cup final you see).

AJ Brunster the old ginner equalised with a well taken effort 5 mins from time. It was inevitable as the ref wanted pens and he was going to get them...

Sure Fodder had some input into that tackle dirty cunt!! My legs still sore now... But am I referring to my middle one! haha!

Impressive: Bennett from div 2 and skinny freckly guy from little bull in div 3 team! And thought Charlie did well, nice simple easy ball

Really enjoyed the day, disappointed with the crowd but understandable with Leeds and Wakey games on... Would love to have another bash next year, and good to put names to faces although still don't know who half the team are... were they any programmes?
