As far as I know our team is 'squeeky clean', but I suppose you could do a search of all our squad on facebook, bebo, myspace and any other social utility website to see if any of our players admit to been a fully fledged ringer!!!!

Dont worry Danny already got 4 teams who have agreed to play us in friendlies, 1 West Yorks team, 1 Wakey prem, 1 1st Div and a 2nd Div. Toying with the idea of arrranging a charity torunament, 20 mins each half, play every one in same day, then back to pub for a piss up. Outwood was invited but looks like they now bottled it but still got the other 4 that have agreed.

You played well there is no doubting that, but if we had played at the same level as we did at Outwood park, it would have been a different story. We didn;t perform, you did. Role reversal of what happened at Outwood Park where we battered you.

Knocked back last years approach cos I din't think it appropriate to meet each other as we were in the same division, and there were still one or two unresolved issues with certain people - its obvious you have bottled it this time but never mind, we need to play someone who will prove to be more of a challenge, particularly with the new signings

We completely battered you at Outwood park, had a legitmate goal ruled out, firthy missed a couple of sitters, and you was no where near us that day, that my friend is a FACT. You out played us in the final, after we had not had a compeitive game for almost a month, also had to contend with a 40 mins break when one of our lads got injured (remember the Eduardo affect on Arsenal for comparison). The problem you have in todays, where theres blame theres a claim culture, is if we move him, we become potentially liable for any further injuries caused. Therefore, none of us were prepared to take that risk.

Not sure on the in's and out's of liability insurance, but I would be almost certain there would be a clause in there stating that if a injured player is moved/advised to move by a non medical trained(doctor, nurse, paramedic etc)person then they wouldn't pay out.

Doesn't need a clause, the word 'liability' sums it up. We would have some rather lengthy insurance documents if examples of what we could be liable for were included. I think back to when Gaz Cleaver dislocated his shoulder last season and I pulled him up by his arm and told him to stop being a poof - now he's a reet man. He got up, walked off the pitch, got the bus to A&E, still in his full kit, and then started making sexually inappropriate comments to all the nurses. Get in

Explain Mr Voakes - liability in insurance terms tends to focus on an individuals or in this case an organisation's financial obligations. Henceforth if you had moved Ginner and caused extra damage to his arm (highly unlikely) and he had decided to sue (again highly unlikely) then the liability element of your clubs insurance should cover you for any court costs, legal fees, compensation claims etc.. As a responsible Club official, I encourage all my players to take out their own personal insurance and this season arranged for a visit from an insurance company to discuss this with the team.
And don't call me thick. I am the cleverest person you know.

Too true - then makes his comeback after nearly a year out - 15 mins on the pitch and puts some one out of the game first challenge, then the following week ends up with a pot on his hand after dishing out a few batterings - becoming the stuff of legend

You will certainly be up there challenging, if we sign 3 if the 5/6 were after we wont be a million miles away from you. |
Only 5/6?? Well allegedly 4 of my players have been approached and they're going nowhere - so who's the other 1/2. |
Mr Gray has signed, and you only have one other good player |
Mr Gray is going nowhere, I gave him a new computer yeaterday - if we only have one good other player, then how come 4 have been asked. Two of them being offered quite attractive incentives as well, now rules are rules...

You played well there is no doubting that, but if we had played at the same level as we did at Outwood park, it would have been a different story. We didn;t perform, you did. Role reversal of what happened at Outwood Park where we battered you. | no the difference is you are not good enuf to get to the level we played in the cup final thats why i said "on that preformance we can beat anyone no matter how well the other team plays" you won the league cos you was more consistent and thats the only reason FACT |
We battered you at Outwood Park, you did in the final. 4 games, 2 draws 1 win a piece Bennett, they are the FACTS!!! | well the pussy bitch who got a little grass burn on his arm should av got off the pitch simple as wot a laughing stock he was. |
Abit harsh!!! Granted he should have prob got up sooner but in all fairness it was your fault you dirdy bastard

no idea how you got that free kick!!!!!!!!
one of the worst decisions i have ever seen!!!!!!!did you look at the ref with your BUNGLE sized cranium and gave him the look?
also to be fair to the game it came down to 2 penalties and a superb freekick! and in all honesty after you got your first penalty, we should have had one straight away, as quite rightly acknowledged by your keeper "i dont know how it wasnt as i just went to kick him and did!" your keepers words!
you did dominate in the 2nd half, but you forget we did dominate the first half!!!!!
will be fun next season, will be the same two teams go up again i think!!!! i was just getting into a scoring run, 2 in 2 it was at the end!!

As a neutral spectator, I must say that Outwood mullered Brewers in the final after the game re-started following the injury delay, although Brewers were far superior up until that point. Testament to the Outwood Management for identifying what was going wrong and sorting it out efficiently and effectively. As for the penalties, both fouls denied very good goalscoring chances. And Brewers goal was almost as much of a freak as the player that scored it.
Back to the foul, I believe that the referee had already blown for a Brewers foul just as Mr Bennett launched himself into the challenge. Thats why Outwood got the free kick. Dirdy Brewers Cants. Outwood to win next seasons 2nd Division, Brewers to come 3rd.

now back to the original reason for this thread..........
those in glass houses........
Following recent allegations into ineligible players being fielded in Division 3 of the Wakefield and District Saturday League during the 2007/08 Season, the News of the World’s very own jewel in the crown of exposing corruption in the beautiful game has been asked to investigate incidences of teams being involved in a breach of the rule book.
One possible case has emerged and centres around the Division 3 League Champions, Ossett Two Brewers and the signing of Andrew ‘Tink’ Taylor from AFC Two Brewers. Although Taylor played several games for Ossett Two Brewers between January and March 2008, he was conspicuous by his absence from the Ossett Two Brewers list of eligible players as listed in the Division 3 Cup Final Programme. This seems peculiar when players such as Stephen Walton and Matthew Askin were included even though they had not played enough games to be available for selection. This provokes the thought that Ossett Two Brewers may possibly have played players under the names of Mr Walton and Mr Askin.
Further investigations have revealed a complete omission of Mr Taylor’s inclusion in Ossett Two Brewer’s results as described on their website - http://www.webteams.co.uk/Home.aspx?team=ossetttwobrewers.
And even more concerning is the fact that when the Ossett Two Brewers Website was updated following their clash with local rivals Little Bull FC on 23 February 2008, the substitutes listed for that game were Paul Kipling and Jonathon Newsome. The two substitutes who actually appeared in the game were Paul Kipling and Andrew Taylor. The Website was subsequently updated and Jonathon Newsome’s involvement removed. Is there an attempted cover up here?
Indications so far intimate that Mr Taylor participated in at least 3 games for Ossett Two Brewers including important title/promotion battles with Little Bull and Outwood Victoria.
This also leads to concern over the transfers of players between Ossett Two Brewers and AFC Two Brewers with several moves between the two clubs during the course of the season. This situation will require close monitoring as the two clubs are scheduled to be in the same division next season.
If these allegations are proved correct, could Ossett Two Brewers be stripped of their league title and perhaps promotion? Would the double be awarded to Outwood or even the League to Ossett Athletic should Outwood be deducted points?

Website done by Viduka, who didn.t play/watch either of the bull matches.
Dicky, you say he has played 3 games, dont you have to play 4 to be eligible for the cup, thick fucker, thats why he wasn;t on the list of players eligible for the cup.
Askin never played a competitve game for us, only played a pre season friendly v Cross Keys, we were dumfounded to find his name on the list of players, hence we contacted the league ourselves to find out if he was, and was informed he wasn't eligble.
Walton played more than 4 matches in the early part of the season therfore was on the list of eligible players for the cup.

He left Stuarts team (other brewers) becasue he didnt get on with Stu, and was mates with Austin/Couie/Wayne so wanted to join us. Signed when we had a tough run of games, that included Bull and Outwood and was difficult for us to have a proper look at him. He played about 15 mins over 3 games, then went on a stag doo to whitley bay(i think) then quit cos he wasn't playing enough.
