Its true Ossett Athletic did beat us 3-2 but to be fair it could have gone either way. The first half we were too greedy and they punished us after some sloppy defending but second half we came back and got it back to 2-2 before ossett grabbed the winner from a well worked goal.
As for saturday i wasnt there but after hearing the reports we played pretty well bar a few more moments of greddiness. Our problem is we know we are a good side with quality players we just dont play as a team. Too many individuals. I also heard that we maid aboyut 6 or 7 subs around half time to give people a run so that wont have helped.
We are still confident of doing well this season its just taking time to get back into it.
Well done to the brewers though. You still played well enough to beat us so credit to you for that.

yes admin you have a good side and it is all down to geediness..still dont know how you lost the game..youve certainly got the players from what i saw,no weak links either

Its fustrating mate cause we know how well we can play its just certain players hate passing the ball. As for week links i wasnt playing lol  but seriously last part of the season we went 10 games unbeaten which included 5 draws 4 of them with top 4 so we know we can perform.
Shame i wasnt there warren would have loved to play against you lot  Did you score then, I heard about the mix up at the back that gifted you lot a goal.

Not a bad start to our(brewers) pre season, played well in patches, but also got a little sloppy at times too. Not bad to say it was the first time 6/7 had played for us, and also missing a few key men. All in all a decent run out for our lads.

Only when short- which with the numbers and quality we have signed on shouldn't be very ofter. Taken on more of a senior role, head of recruitment and assistant gaffer!
Had 2 cameo spells in our first friendly on sat though!

Good result for both Ossett Athletic and Two Brewers over higher league opposition, especially with them finishing fifth last season. Cross Key's have got a great bunch of lads and we wish them well in the new season.
Two Brewers had better be-careful though cos my sunday side Ossett common rovers of the west yorkshire league are sharing pubs with them this season and trust me when i left the saturday team they were tapping up players from all over.
