No they didnt leave because of that. They left because tony driver didnt want to participate in this league anymore, they were also lucky enough to have a ground that matched the criteria set by Yorkshire Old Boys League. Am not saying they are not a good side but we played them in a friendly and they didnt seem anything special and when we played their second team they had first teamers in and we beat them.
I am sure if you asked a number of clubs they would have a go in that league if they had the facilities needed.
