well done mate, we were very unlucky....ref screwed us over big time, we deserved at least the draw, even if we lost after that we got screwed by a blatant dive. well done again lads, a few div 3 teams thru! are eastmoor (wrca) a good team?

ResultsProstar 2-3 Ryecroft, we had 2 dodgy penalties given against us. We will take it on the chin though and continue our improvement. Not a bad result against them, i see they had a good season last year.

Good win for our lads tonight, thought we was the better team for the majority of the match. Missed a penalty too. Happy to come away with the win that gives us the bragging rights for the season in the boozer.

the better team won, and could have won by more. disappointed with the other teams performance to be honest, but still a good game that could have gone either way. we got our work cut out when we play you. Impressed most by the disciplined performances of both teams - little bit of handbags late on, but both teams did brewers proud with their conduct.. Its gonna be a good season ahead. Maybe the difference tonight was Voakesy's tactical ingenuity

Nah mate, the better team one, the team that was interested in getting ball down and passing it rather than trying to kick there opponents or just lump it forward.

Ossett Athletic 7 - 1 EastmoorWe were simply the better side, we fielded just about our strongest team, bar a few that are on holiday. We've signed alot from Common 1st team and simply we matched and bettered what they had to offer. We took the lead through a lucky own goal and then got a well deserved penalty which was converted. They equalised in the dying seconds of the 1st half. Early on in the 2nd we scored again and that was it, there heads went and they started trying to kick and bully us but the goals kept flowing and it should have really been more. We've got Dewsbury Rangers in the next round and they only beat AFC Cross Key's 1-0, and we beat them pre-season so should be a good match.
Garforth did well what did it end up? Also Duke did well looks like they've made an improvement? But they've got B>wilson and T.Maher so it won't last.LOL

Which common lads you signed? Can these just play your md week games cos they will be playing for common on sat? Or have they packed om at common?

Having had to enter the Wheatley Cup we felt that was enough with having the Callaghan Cup and League Cup. We only have a small trophy cabinet at the Bull

Fair enough. No need to expand that small cabinet? You should be able to scap the existing one for firewood come bonfire night, when you are out of all cups and way behind us in the league.

playersThere from the 1st team, lads who I played with before we set up Oss Ath. It took me a while to sign them cos obviously dropping down from West Yorks Prem to Div 3 Wakey is a big step. I think they just wanted to see how we got on starting up a team from stratch and to see how we did.
To be honest I alot of people laughed at me and the other lad when we 1st set up cos we had no money or owt, but we worked hard did shitty raffles at weekends in the shitty Hammer and Stithy to make money.
Then last season we did quite well for our 1st season, don't get me wrong we had some shit players back then (B.Wilson, T.Maher etc) just like what Brewers had, and had some up and down results such as we beat Bull 1-0 at there place then went to Altofts and got beat 5-1.
This season I predict all the Ossett sides will gain promotion to Div 2, and as manager im not bothered whether we finish 1st 2nd or 3rd as long as we get up.

Dont forget we did beat you 4 - 0! Just thought you might have forgot to enter that into your little speech! LOL Think your right about all ossett teams but may have to watch out for likes of garforth, and outwood vic! Still early door yet
