congratulationsjust wanna say well done to alverthorpe for winning the league its been a good season really lot of banta and some good football but on the whole alverthorpe just shaded it i think dodworth gave you a good go and we were waiting in the wings but our silly draws cost us. well us and dodworth will have to battle out second place now and i am sure it will be a good game . so once again well done alverthorpe.

Cheers Danny  Obviously gutted about league title and a big congrats on that, think you boys just had enough to win it over season so well done, but if we can get a runners up spot, we are in 2 finals, in our first season, I would ave taken that had somebody offered it at the start
Everyone just wants to make sure that we win some silverware now for all our very hard efforts (except against feather!  ) so bring next fri night on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree you've had a great 1st season and deserve your place in both cup finals and have pushed us hard all year for the league!! All the stuff what was said about you lads at the start of the seaon was untrue good set of lads its gonna be a fantastic final against you both of us on for the double!!!

Which player are you from Wakey? There's some good young lads there and your team will be really good if you can keep it together for a few years.

Kev i hate to break it too ya but it wasnt a great shot to be fair. We shoudl have closed you down granted but ste is our defender not our keeper lol. Si (our keeper) was our midfield dynamo

I will repeat what i said in the pub though and that is based on the performances against us this season we are all in agreement that dodworth were the better side. Apart from the first 60 mins at their place they totally hammered us. Similar to the secondhalf agaisnt you the other week actually.
Saturday as you know we messed around with the team and to be honest i was expecting you to give us a right tonking. We only had 3 or 4 players play in their position too. I drew sub 1 so wasnt even starting but the lads that drew one of the CB roles didnt turn up so fate brought me and dannyboy together again.
I wont say anything on ere that i didnt say to you myself though. You have done really well and deserve the title but just make sure you play better than you did against us cause that cup final could end up being a walk over for them regardless who they have missing.

I couldnt agree more kev. That jimmy cranky lookalike is the gaffer who was injured and wasnt even supposed to play. Thats one of the reasons we didnt score against you although at certain points we came pretty close. We haven't played you with our strongest side either. We had people missing at your place and as you know we messed about with the team on saturday.
Same with dodworth, We were missing 4 or 5 at their place and sama again at home due to a wedding.
Am not saying that the outcomes of any of the games would have been different but it we dont have the strength in depth that you obviously have at the thorpe. Plus we struggle to field the same side week to week.
We are looking towards trying for promotion next season as we say every year but we have to start winning the games that matter as well as the ones we expect too. Losing twice against shakey, dodworth and you cost us any chance we had of doing anything this year.
Here's to next season. Good luck both dodworth and thorpe. Can see div being a good battle again.

hi willy its kenny from afc wakefield yeh we have some young lads and we have done well this season if we keep it together we could be a really good team but like you know it all comes with experience. not sure if i will be there though to experience it 37 this year legs getting tired although i still have one over on you when we won you in league cup final i was with grey horse sports then you was with st miks 3-1 i remember good game !!!

I remember the Grey Horse/St Mick's final.......cocky weren't we? We went into that final thinking we could just stroll around.....how wrong we were and fair play you deserved it on the day......care to say what happened only 5 days later at your ground....??? Didn't a certain team get hammered 8-0 and we clinched the league that night!!!!!! I never ran as much in that game.....so bloody wound up from the cup final!!
Don't know how many teams go up from our division this year, so your home game v Dodworth on 1st May will be a cracker.....winner takes all for runners up spot!!!! Think ALL the Thorpe lads will be in attendance that night........hope you can cope with the 'BANTER' and the 'rays' from the sunbed - that'll be Dodworth's gaffer!!

Is he the young lad who reffed us against 2 brewers? Am not being funny, and it might sound bitter cause we lost but I really honestly didnt think he was a ref!!
Brewers where calling him ben instead of ref or as you guys say in wakey SIR! Think he even got changed before and after wi em and am almost sure he took thier halftime teamtalk!!
Not sure he has a clue about offside!!! So its nice to know he's running the line in our final!!!
