Maradona 'Sorry' For Hand Of God Goal

It's taken almost 22 years but Argentinian football legend Maradona has finally apologised for his notorious Hand of God goal - well, almost.
The Hand of God?His handball helped knock England out of the quarter-finals of the 1986 World Cup in Mexico, which Argentina went on to win.
The goal was given despite protests by the England players - and Maradona went on to score an incredible second goal, dribbling past half the England team in a 2-1 win.
Asked about the controversial first goal after the game, Maradona famously said it was scored "a little with the head of Maradona and a little with the hand of God".
Now he has finally said sorry - or at least said that if he could apologise, he would.

In an interview given during a four-day trip to Britain he said he would go back and change what happened if he could.
He told The Sun: "An English supporter came up to me this weekend, asked me for an autograph and said 'You are a legend'.
"This made me very happy. Your people are so polite and kind despite the history between our countries.
Maradona scored a superb second to beat England"If I could apologise and go back and change history I would do. But the goal is still a goal, Argentina became world champions and I was the best player in the world.
"I cannot change history. All I can do now is move on."
The 44-year-old, who has suffered health problems brought on by drink and drug use over the past 10 years, hinted he might be interested in working in Britain.
He said: "I'm looking for new opportunities - somewhere I can find a job, a position - and it is true I plan to spend much more time in England.
"There have been no formal talks and I haven't come this week to remove managers from positions in the Premier League."

Jeremy Beadle's family are struggling to read his will. Apparently it was written in shorthand.
After Jeremy's funeral friends and family will be invited to attend a small finger buffet.
His cremation is being aired live on TV, it's getting showcased as "You've Been Flamed"
Did you hear that the clock in Jeremy Beadle's hospital room froze at the exact moment that he died ?? Apparently the little hand just stopped moving.
Jeremy beadle wants his ashes spread over a compost heap. Next year BBC are planning a new programme called "Watch out Beadles a sprout".
