Alverthorpe 4 Rose of York 14-1 to the 'Thorpe @ The Field of Dreams.
A game that 'Thorpe never got going. A game that should have been won in the first half .... but missed chances made 'Thorpe work for their win.
At times Alverthorpe produced some excellent football with superb goals coming from S.Peters & Leach.
A good effort by the lads from Rose ... Never gave up and If they had put their chances away, may be a different result. Well done lads .... Hope you enjoyed the Pizza's  ... Ummmm Pizza Hut  ! Get that in before Willy mentioned it. Physical side ... Well their number 10 was a tool and should have walked  .. but the ref thought otherwise. 
Mr C Morrit had a good game .... fair for both sides. Cheers Chris
Goal scorers for Alverthorpe were Simon Peters (2) , Danny N (1) and Lee Hawhead.
Very good displays from Si Peters / Craig Peters / Nigel Waite & Kev Wilson. Refs Man of the Match went to Ian Battersby.
We got Cherry Tree Res next week .... Any feedback on them

I think he had trials not sure of he ever played for them.
A good player though and looks like jolly are missing the likes of him and craig after getting hammered 6-0 this weekend just like we did against dodworth but thats another thread lol

cherry tree res - if you get stuck into them they like to turn a football game into a fighting game - should be no probs 4 u boys tho, centre half gets wound up if you look at him - piss funny to wind up not really that good you boys should hammer them

Anyway on a more serious note, Cherry Tree Res have their best player missing Saturday (scouse Ash!) because he's off to watch Everton (silly lad!)
They are managed by a lad I know called Bubba......if he's in charge, then 'owt could happen......the phrase 'thick as pig shit' should cover his intelligence!
Apart from that......he's a top lad!

cheers for pizza hut tea guys!!!!!! that was a first! some of our lads have never eaten pizza before!!!!
On a football note alverthorpe looked a really good side with a good physical team. our guys just could not get into the game and the more chances they kept missing the lower the heads went.
Any info on afc 2 brewers got them in cup this saturday?

There not a bad side but have a few players that are nobs. They dont like losing either, If you read "other threads" in this forum room you can read about one particular game.

We beat them 1-0 in the other cup, also missed a penalty should have been 3/4-0 to be fair. Not a bad side, but I would expect you to beat them.

alverthorpe will have a good side with a lot of lads that come from the kettlethorpe/hall green area in the side, they should be playing for a team in a better division, but they like to win every week and feel like star players, so they move around a fair bit and join teams in poor divisions so that they can win easy most weeks.
only stirring it boys, but you know who you are.
