Post subject: Charity Match - College Grove Sat 9th of May
Thanks to everyone that stayed behind after league meeting last night.............managed to get one or two things sorted.
Just to clear up a few points first.......
1 - The Charity will be The Teenage Cancer Trust/Candlelighters.
2 - ANYONE who wants to get involved (not just to play) is more than welcome........lots of stuff to do.
3 - The players will be slected from ALL teams that show a genuine interest - idealy 1/2 players from every team!!
We have established who is 'running' the teams involved, now we need to know which teams want to put players forward. Once we know that, we can then decide how many players from each team we can use......
i.e. at present 27 teams make up div 1/2, if every team wants to participate, then it will be one player from each team......but if only 11 teams want to get involved we can use 2 players from each team....etc, etc......so any team that wants including let me know.
I have made sure that every team has been informed, a flyer/letter went to every team with their fixtures last night. I have also written to the WRCFA to get the game sanctioned and insured. We discussed the possibility of an auction on the day, and pottentially have the following,
Signed Shirts from : Leeds Utd, Man Utd, Hudds Town, Wakefield Wildcats and Leeds Rhinos..................if anyone else can get anything at all, please let me know.
We are also looking for sponsor's for the programme......£25 for qtr page, £50 for half page, £100 for full page......and we are also looking for a 'match' sponsor........last year we got £500!! but would accept any reasonable offer :wink: :wink:
So if anyone knows anyone for sponsorship etc....get 'em sorted and let me know :lol: :lol:
we also need a volunteer to 'man' the turnstile on the day.........will probably charge £1/2 pound entry including a programme.
